Where Are Your Accusers?

We often listen to the wrong voices. “You call yourself a Christian?” You did that horrible thing, you are worthless, you are a disgrace.”

The devil loves to plant poisonous thoughts into our heads. Eventually, this poison infects our whole being. Perhaps, someone pointed to finger at you and called you worthless. maybe, you can’t shake a mistake you made in the past. You are aroused to count yourself out because the song of your mistakes is serenading you.

Allow me to share a bible story with you.

“When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee” (John 8:10-11 KJV)

Have you been in this situation? People around you are screaming “stone her.” The crowd had their stones ready, forgetting that they have sin themselves. Is it your pastor, parent, or your friend. Are they in the crowd yelling “stone her.” What they did not know is Jesus was about to do more than stone her. Jesus crucified her.

Whoah!!!! “Are you crazy?” Yes, My friend, I am crazy.

Let me explain: “My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20 NLT)”

When you trust in Jesus, you receive the gift of his grace. He did in your place. He doesn’t condemn you today because he was condemned, on a cross, in your place. No one, including yourself, can accuse you because Jesus was the one who received your condemnation 2000 years ago. Stop listening to the voice of your accusers. They have no voice. They have no authority. Jesus defeating all voices of accusation by becoming your sin and leaving them in a grave. He rose in the newness of life. Guess what! You are unified with him in that entire event.
